The Boston tea party

The history of mankind is full of bright and unforgettable episodes. To my mind the most memorable USA historical episode was the Boston Tea Party. It "happened on December 17, 1772 in America, then the British colony. The economic situation after the Seven Years War was hard in Britain. The war took a lot of material and human forces. As America was the colony of Britain the British Parliament decided to impose taxes on the Americans to improve the economy of the Country. The colonists happened to repeal all the taxes, but the tax on tea. The protest of the American colonists when they threw into the Boston Harbour the British tea valued 35000 pounds brought about the War of Independence and made American colonists citizens of their own country.
